No cold water in kitchen

Hello,
I recently replaced the filter for our cold water in the kitchen and the ice maker..Now there is no cold water coming out of the sink..the hot water works fine..and the cold water works everywhere else. If anyone knows what is going on and what to check before I call a plumber that would be great..

Hi Lilyd,

When you replaced the filter, did you turn off the water supply to the water filter? Have you turned it on again?

If not, there must be a simple solution. A water supply just doesn't disappear.

go through the entire process that you used in replacing the filter. I mean physically! somewhere within this you will see where you went wrong.

but yes I repeated all the steps and it just doesnt work..and when I first did it I turned the water off then pushed the button on the filter to release the air then reconnected the new filter turned the water on pushed the air button again and it doesnt work..

take the filter out , close the system up again and turn the water back on. if you get water then it's the filter thats the problem. (blocked or mis-aligned maybe. )
also check that the water is really turning back on (stick a bowl under the filter when it's opened up and turn the water on slowly to check it flows.)
