Hey! You can download music to your ipod by first burning the cd to your computer. Just put the cd in you computer and a window will pop up. Follow the simple instuctions. Your ipod should have come with a cable to hook into the computer. Once you hook it up, it's pretty self-explainitory from there! HOPE I HELPED! : )
First you need to rip them to MP3. Windows media player will do that. Then bring them in to your i tunes.

Sorry, Cy Marven. but Samkellys you should ignore that answer completely. You don't need to use Windows Media player at all.

Download and install i-Tunes here;

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Then, once installed , simply put your CD in the CD drive of your computer, and click 'import CD' in iTunes. It will do the rest.

Hope this helps.

Headtime is right on the button. iTunes is a typically brilliant bit of Mac stuff, and free.
Quite right, I was thinking more generically. For ipods itunes is the one. I personally really dislike the program but the ipod, unlike all other mp3 players gives you little choice.
Sorry samkellys
You just need to rip your music cd to MP3 format, then you can sync to your iPod. ITunes can rip cd, it;s free. Here is the download link

I hope it helps.
