Loose tap & poor flowing tap

Hi there.
Probably a very simple DIY question but I am new to the game.
My bathroom sink taps (spindle) have different problems with each of them:
1) Poor flow from one tap - this is the only tap in the house which does this
2) Other tap turns in its fixing - when turning the tap on (or off) the whole tap turns in the sink and I do not know how to stop this happening as their is no apparent nut to tighten

Any help please?

Hi Bez.

I am assuming that your taps are of the older variety with a chrome cover that slips over the spindle.

1) I think that you will find that the washer is sticking and not lifting with the spindle. Remove chrome cover, undo large brass assembly and replace washer.

2) Remove chrome cover and tighten the large nut on the brass assembly that you will find underneath it.
