need to completley adjust me front derailuer, whats the best way to do it form scrtach, adjust it one way and put it on the top or bottom sprocket, and the adjust the cable, any ideas its a shimano nexave, cassette type

You should have two grub screws to adjust the limit of travel, so just start with the chain on the largest chain wheel and largest sprocket to set one limit, then shift to small chain wheel and smallest sprocket to set the other limit. Switch between the two extremities a few times in case a little fine tuning is needed.

cheers all, sorted it out out, with some axle stands and fine tuning, well more error than trial
