Digital scanner

Anyone know how i convert my radioshack2042 scanner to pick up digital waves?

Sorry, but i do not think it is possible. The technology is completely different. You do not say what frequencies your scanner is operating at. What happens with TV set top converters is, the converter does all the tuning & the tv remains tuned to one channel, remember, this is on uhf. Generally requires some adjustment to the aerial system as well. Digital is not yet happening on lf/mf/sw bands.

Oh right, cheers andy. By the way, do you know if there is a digital scanner out in the Uk yet? i heard there was talk of one being released sometime in 2006, but its nearly 2007 now. I was gonna get one from the USA and use it over here, but wasnt sure if it would work or not.

not that I am aware. don't hold your breath. plus have a word with the bank about a mortgage ! remember how much analogue scanners cost when they first came out.

I know, i bought one. I dont mind paying the money though. It was well worth it at the time. Cheers anyway
