Glow.worm combi 30cxi

Just had combi g/worm fitted in last 3 months heating all fine, hot water very poor going from not very hot to almost cold ,a bath is out of the question ,have turned the flow from taps down but still no great improvement. Is it possible that the flow into the boiler is to great??.Thanks for any help.

The Glowworm 30CXi is a high flow modern boiler and should produce approx 15L per min of hot water so it should be able to cope with a modern pressure supply no problem. How ever if the DHW was not properly flushed out then the cold inlet filter could be clogged up and effecting its performance. This should also be checked and cleaned at every 12 month service aswell. You will find it to the left of the pump. Just turn off the electric to the boiler off, drain the DHW and take out the filter. Inspect it and clean it replace if damaged and put it back. Also if you have the correct intruments you can check with a wear guage the flow rate which should be on you're boiler approx 15Lpm @40*C increase. If it is not then the flow rate needs adjusting. You have in my oppinion a very good reliable boiler installed and I would not think there would be anything seriously wrong with it. Just maybe poor commisioning practice's when installed.

I will check the filter, on reading the manual it seems an ok job for a D I Y , i do have basic knowledge with plumbing.
Is it possible for the filter to clogg up from day one of installation ,?
If proved not to be the filter but the flow rate,can this be easily adjusted with a wear guage.
I see in the manual there is a thermistor on DHW is this a
posh name for sensor?? could this be a problem?

Yes the thermistor is the sensor. And could well be faulty but at only three month old would be unusual, but hey stranger things have happened :o)
