what's up with my combi boiler

i have a combi boiler, which is approx 9 years old. when i run the tap it starts to rattle and vibrate, it now takes a while for the water to heat up. last year the timer went on it and i replaced that myself. any suggestions to what it is, and is it easy to fix. or do i need a mortgage for a plumber to come out. cheers.

try getting it serviced, usually around �50, and pick the engineers brains while he's there...
