Tracing mobile phone numbers?
4 Answers
Hi all
About 2 years ago, I was receiving silent phone calls at home and work from my partners mad ex. I filed a complaint with the police, but didn't continue with it as to be honest I felt a bit sorry for her at the time.
Now today I have received an extremely crude and abusive text message from an actual mobile phone (not a free text etc). I have sent a message back asking who it is, and tried calling, but nothing back. Thing is, other than my family and a few colleagues, and HER, no one has got the number she contacted me on. The message was very detailed and obviously from someone who knows my partner very well.
Is there any way of tracing this number to confirm its owner?

You could report it to the police as it could be classed as menacing/abusive so they have a log of it. You could also report it to the network O2 or vodaphone etc depending on the number - the police will be able to tell you or if you put the prefix on here someone will be able to tell you who the network operator is.
