Hi, can anyone help me please, I have upvc double glazing that's been in about 14years,but I've noticed that lately, my bedroom windows are steaming up with condensation. The windows are north facing. My husband says its because they get no sun and are always cold, and the room is warm as the heating is on, is he right?

I did expect a sensible answer, but I suppose there are some people out there that make a joke of everything, even when it's not funny
Actually, it WAS funny
Water will always condense away from the heat source so yes he is correct but it;s nothing to do with the sun , the heat source is the bodies that are sleeping there. The trouble with DG is that there is nowhere for the mositure to go. You have to open the windows occasionally or get a de humidifier.

Got similar problem, xcept we now have black mold spores appearing all over.... we can only sort it out by using a dehumidifier, quite pricey but got one on ebay cheap as chips, about 1/5th of retail, other option is to stop breathing apparently!?!
Any moisture that is created in your home, whether through breathing, cooking, having a shower etc, that cannot escape has to settle somewhere. As someone else has said, water will always settle on the coldest part of a room which is usually the window. Dehumidifiers are quite expensive but they do work (make sure you get one that is suitable for the size of the room/property want to treat). I've had one now for a couple of years and would never be without one.
