heating system
2 Answers
i have recently bought a house with a heating system that looks really old, The Boiler is a BAXI WM51/3RS,
It works well with the heat and hot water but I haven't got a clue how to use it, Dose anyone know if the water is heated by the boiler as I have a tank for the hot water,
should i leave the heating on all day or turn it off or should I just start saving for a new heating system,

We also have an immersion heater in the tank which is rarely, if ever used as the system works so well.
On our system to have heating you have to have the water heater side of things switched on as well- I presume you have some kind of timer attached to the system? We find that in the summers a couple of hours water heating morning and evening is plenty. In the winter the same but with the central heating bit on as well- if it gets really cold we might have the system on all day- but never 24 hours.
