I've just bought a Philips VR500 video recorder from Tesco. Can anyone tell me how to use the One Touch Recording facilty the machine is alleged to have?
The manual is abysmal, and doesn't even mention OTR, although all the reviews on the web rave about how easy it is to use.
Even Philips customer support web page drew a blank, so what chance me getting an answer from Tesco's?

Whats a video recorder ? :-)
I think that in the manual it's referred to as "Direct Record".
You usually press the record button once to start recording then again to increase the time you want the recording to last- again usually in 30 min intervals and you'd press it 4 times say to record 1hr 30 mins.

Give it a go. This is assuming you are on the right channel and you have a tape in the machine and the programme doesnt over run.............
