Does a UK universal remote control work on a Samsung t.v. purchased in Spain?

Someone kindly took the t.v. remote control away from my holiday home in Spain. Does anyone know if the universal remote controls available in the UK will work on a Samsung t.v. which I bought in Spain about 4 years ago, but probably manufactured somewhere entirely different? I am concerned that I will buy one only to find it will not work and will have thrown more good money after bad. Any replies gratefully received.

Universal remote controls come with a list of supported model numbers..

Check the model number of the TV. If it's in the list, I'm sure it will work.

Anyway, I'm sure you can buy a universal remote control in Spain.
