What?
If it's a genuine original you won't be able to use it, as they use pulse dialling, whereas modern exchanges only work with DTMF (tone) dialling.
Hi There, Like GEF says WHAT!, You need to ask your question in some sort of Language that people understand and then I am sure that help will be there for you. Try again and try to explain exactly what you want to do with this Bakelite Telephone,
Good Luck. ALLIGATOR.
Good grief, ALLIGATOR! The heading says Conerting Bakelite Phone. Surely it's obvious that it's a typo and should read "Connecting".

Rojash helpfully chose to reply with some information minus the hysteria, but agree I should have checked before submitting Q, should have read 'converting' as the 19-30's - 1950's phones may not be cpompatible with sockets in use by modern exchanges.
Yes they can be converted, nearly all modern telephone lines support these older pulse dialing telephones, and all of them will ring on incoming calls. Details can be seen on http://antiquephones.blogspot.com/2007/05/converting-british-332-telephone.html. Hope this helps
