Converting MS Works text to MS Word
sir.prize or anyone else who can help, I have now discovered that the original text that I cannot open in Word was produced on a MS Works word processor. Word claims to have all sorts of text converters for dealing with this sort of problem but (a) I can't find them, and (b) It doesn't tell me how to use it if find the Works/Word converter. All tips gratefully received.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Open Word, select File then Open.
In the "Open" window, at the bottom, select Files of Type.
Listed there should be a whole load of formats, including MS works.
Select MS Works, then the Works document you want to open, then it should appear in Word.
Note I have not done this but think this is the way it should work.
