A couple of years ago I had a combi boiler installed, but ever since I have never been able to get a steady temperature in my shower (its only a mixer shower) I will shortly be replacing my bathroom suite and wondered if anyone had any recommendations as to what type of shower I should install. I dont want another mixer one, I was thinking along the lines of an electric shower.
Go for a normal electric shower, unfortunately due to the high pressured system you will not be able to have a power shower. Not sure why this is, but if you look any where that sells power showers they always tell you that combi boilers and power showers are not compatible. We just have a normal 9kw electric shower.
Get your self a Mira Excel, you`ll certainly not be dissapointed. Fitting an electric on will be on the more costly side as you`ll need a qualified electrician to run the cable from your meter up to the shower
A lot of the older thermostatic showers were just not designed for use on combi boiloers so if you are opting for a replacement thermostatic shower then make sure it is compatible with a combi system.
