Have just tried to watch The Queen DVD bought this week and i could only view in black and white. I am not very technical and presume i should have done something on my controls to find colour. I have only used it before on the video side not DVD. Can someone tell me what i need to do please? The user manual does not help. It is a Daewoo DF4100P Thanks in advance

Is it a Region 2 dvd?
I really don't know if being the wrong region would make a difference, as the above poster implied it might. Surely the thing to do is try another DVD and see if that's affected. If it is, then maybe you have something wrong with the player - as far as I know you'll have no colour controls on that, only the telly.
Sometimes if you are watching via a scart lead and it has become loose - it will show only B&W. Have a look at the scart connection at the back of your TV and DVD player and check that the ends are pushed firmly in.

Restart you DVD player and have another look. If it's still the same, see if it is in B&W on your PC if you have a DVD player. Or ask someone else to have a look at it. If all fails - take it back - it must be the DVD at fault.
