Ebay - selling an item

Anyone know any statistics about when the best time to end your listing
ie, is the best selling day a Sunday? mrning or evening?
etc

Depends on the sort of thing you are selling.

Kiddies toys weekend daytime, kiddies clothes, Mon - Fri daytime.

PC games , consoles, gadgets - late nights, especially Friday and Saturday nights.

Specialist / rare / collectors' items - any time at all.

Ladies' clothing - daytime. Unless they are large enough to fit men - then it's late night shopping. :)

If there is something big on tv - avoid your listing ending during it.

Think about the likely buyers for your items and when they will be likely to be online.

be carful of ending your items after 11.30 pm some drunks come home from the pub or club and decide to bid .i had it happen to me one drunken fella sent me an email next morning telling me he was drunk and didnt want the item the total was nearly �300 .it took me ages to get my fees back from ebay oh ya its ok for ebay they charge you straight away and get paid we have to fight for it. a good time to sell anything between 7.30. 8.30pm when people have come home from work had there dinner and settled down for the evening looking at ebay . good luck.

I find 7.30 -8.30pm to be a dreadful time to sell. People are either watching soaps or getting the kids to bed.

Non paying bidders are a menace, but touch would I have had only 3 in over 1000 sales.

I don't worry so much about selling times nowadays due to the fact that what the people interested in the items I deal in usually have sniper software.

However due to my own time constraints I find it much easier to put stuff on ebay on a Friday night on a 10 day listing. That way people have a long time to browse and find my items.
