renting a car in france

i intend to travel to la rochelle in france on the 12th of june, i have only recently passed my driving test for the first time and none of the main suppliers of rental cars seem to cater for me (they all insist a licence be held for a minimum of 12 months). does anyone know of a hire company who would rent me a car?

Why not try one of the many small traders who hire out cars. You may not get a top of the range or even a recent model but the costs should be far lower. To have piece of mind join a motoring organisation who will get you out of mechanical trouble whilst abroad.
