An old man told me to cut an onion in half and rub over and around the bald patch for a few days. I was desparate enough to try anything. I was delighted to find that after a few days, I could pull at the surrounding hair and it did'nt come out. Allthough I continued to get occasional alopecia for a few years, early treatment with the onion kept the bald patches small. I later told a friend who had alopecia, about the onion treatment and he found it worked for him too. Unfortunately it did'nt work for someone else who had really severe alopecia. Still, it's got to be worth a try.
thanks garner, they dont tell you that when you start taking it, they say that it will make your hair come back balancing, so you have no choice, its a no win situation, when the bald patches come, take these pills and you will still have bald patches, to auldyin, it doesnt create new hair, it keeps the hair you have, and no pals lol
Get his levels checked - if he's on the correct dose hair loss shouldn't be that profound. Remember all the thyroxine does is replace what the body makes anyway but dosing may be the issue.
If the dose is ok then the hair loss may be auto-immune. Hypothyroidism can be auto-immune and these disorders often go hand in hand
