blue tooth on axim

hi, have got a dell axim x5. bought a blue tooth card for it and a blue tooth sat nav ariel device. they work fine together, but I am unable to stop the blue tooth taking over the handhekd x5. if I switch the ariel device off then the x5 starts looking for it and keeps bringing up not found messages that won't go away. I pull the blue tooth card out and the x5 starts rolling the screen up and down and cannot be used, so I always have to have the sattelite receiver in contact and switched on to use the x5.
any ideas?
