I take Metformin (hypoglyceamic medicine) 3 times a day, one batch made by APS have numbers stamped on one side of the tablet, either 93 or 48 why? and why the different numbers. They vary within each strip of tablets!

Some companies, like APS, don't always have a drug "factory", they buy from bulk manufacturers and package in their livery. It may be APS have bought some of these tablets from two different manufacturers prior to packaging. However, it is rare and something I would suggest you show to your local chemist to ensure that you have been given the correct drug.
