where do people go to make friends i can not seem to make any friends in this town that i am in. i have made 2 friends in this town but i do not see them as much as i would like to. it seems that everyone is in to smoking pot or getting wasted in bars . in key west where i am from i grew up with people that i knew and had friends but when i came up to orange park my life changed i have never never been so lost in my life. the one friend that i mentiond i went to his church today and i will start going on sundays if i get the day off or can be to work later on sundays. I have also been on the internet on diif websites and it seems that there are a lot of people that are in the same spot that i am in. does anyone know any websites in the u.s that people can meet and to find other people with the same interests that i have? i know that a lot of people hate me on this website for posting these kinds of questions but this is the only website where people give you serious advice.

It may be just that, as you say, you have posted variations on the same theme. People have tried to make suggetions and offered advice but that is all they are, suggestions and possible advice, it is up to you to 'do' something about it and I know you have tried. As for websites in the US, I guess it is a matter of trial and error until you find the right one, there are weirdos on all website these days!

Maybe you should try to stop fretting so much about how many friends you have and don't have in your area. You can do things that interest you and enjoy your life without constant companionship. Stop doing things with the express aim of making friends, it puts too much pressure on yourself. Do things just to enjoy doing them, eg, fishing, horse riding, painting, swimming...anything. Doing something you enjoy, and as I say, doing it purely for your own enjoyment, not to immediately strike up friendships, will make you feel so much more confident and happy. And once you actually begin enjoying life you'll find it much easier to make friends.
We've all felt lonely, evey single person in the world. It's up to you whether you choose to enjoy life anyway or wallow in sorrow because your life isn't exactly how you want it to be.

you seem to be repeating yourself here, ultraman. i thought you had joined a church and had made friends at some youth group, after you had been brainwashed. (posted a while ago on religion). try being happy on your own for a while, you may come across as being desperate which may explain why no one seems to want to be your friend. its like looking for love... it just happens! don't try too hard, because it will come across that your a loner.
