disconnecting old washing machine

Need to do this as new one comes fri. I have water in the hose pipes whe i tried and its going everywhere.What should i be doing? thanks

They are usually at the end of the 'house' pipe where you connect the 'machine' pipe. You will have a 'hosepipefull' of water in the pipe, so just have a bucket/receptacle handy to catch the water. There may also be a bit of water in the 'drain' pipe.
hi, switch off the water at the tap or taps. switch the machine on a rinse programme and it will suck any water into the machine. pulse it on to a empty or spin cycle and pump out any water in the machine.. make sure the machine has pumped out as much water as possible,then get a bowl, put it on the floor and lay the open end of the discharge hose into it. if the bowl gets full, hold the hose up above the washing machine and empty the bowl and do it again.do the same with the filler hoses. when hoses appear empty, tie them to the back of the machine as high as possible, otherwise if one falls on the floor it may find some more water to discharge.
