Can I change my laptop region to play dvds in canada
3 Answers
Hi there, I am moving to canada and taking my laptop and tons of my dvds. Right now I know my laptop can play the dvds but in the future is there a way to change the region of my laptop so it plays Canada dvds. Also my current dvds is there a way to convert them to region 1 dvds. Is there any software that does this. Any help on this would be great. Thanks

Start - My Computer
Right click on the dvd drive - properties
Click the Hardware Tab and highlight the dvd player.
Click Properties and then the dvd region tab.
It will tell you how many changes to the region you have left., and you can select the region you want.
Honestly - it only takes a minute. :)

But be careful ... you are only alowed to change regions 5(?) times before the drive will lock up.
