I offered my passport to a bank employee as I.D. and it was refused. Why? because it was a couple of weeks out of date, so according to the cretins at the Nat West because my passport was two weeks out of date I'm no longer the person who's photo is in the passport and who can prove he has lived at the same address for 35 years

We should have a competition to see if we can find anybody in any position of authority in Britain that isn't a cretin, needless to say politicians are excluded
My son uses his provisional driving licence as ID for when he goes into pubs and clubs etc. He is 19.
I have always believed that it really up to the individual place what they will or will not accept as valid ID? If you insist they must accept something as "valid" ID they are still quite withing their rights not to serve you and they do not have to give a reason.
i work in a bar and the id i'll accept is valid photo id, be it a passport, driving license or and id card. it wouldn't bother me if the driving license was provisional or full (or if the passport was two weeks out of date lol), as long as the photo looks like the person standing in front of me!
