Hi

I recently installed 11no. low voltage recessed downlighters in my living room, controlled by a double dimmer switch (8no. lights on one, 3no. on the other).
The lights every now and again go off for a few seconds, then come back on again. I have checked the connections in each joint box and at the dimmer switch. Any ideas what the problem might be??

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If the fixtures are standard voltage (not 12 v) Halogen lights, the dimmer switch required often has to be twice the capacity of normal total voltage of incandescent bulbs... If the bulbs are the low voltage types they will require special dimmer switches and a lot of electricians, at least here in the U.S. advise against dimming such fixtures...
I see, on re-reading your question that they are low voltage... make sure you have the correct dimmer switches for them...
