mobile number

on my mobile phone bill for the last 4 months i have had calls to a guernsey phone numner, it looks like a mobile number but has one extra number, ive tried calling the number from landline but it never rings but always says the person is not answering, i only ever call numbers that i know. e.g friends, family so am mystified by the number, ive contact the phone provider but they were no help at all, anyone have any ideas? thanks

I personally would ring back my service provider ('s not o2 is it?, lol) and argue the toss that you havent made these calls and insist they investigate it for you. If it keeps happening maybe ask that they change your number? Its not one of those scams where someone rings you but when you answer the call you get charged?? Maybe I would also go through my bills with a fine tooth comb to see if anything else unusal has happened.
Id also tap the mysterious number in google to see if its happened to anyone else.

my provider, 3, have said that as its on mt bill i must have phoned it, ive argued the toss many times with them. i dont answer my phone unless i recognise the number, tried the number in google and nothing. thanks anyway

I was on 3, they were dreadful so I changed to o2, even though its still halfway through my contract. that doesn't surprise me that they said that, but it doesnt help you does it. Its odd that its like a mobile number but with one extra number. Thier must be something else you could try, like BT perhaps. they can trace landline numbers maybe they can trace this one. Sorry, its not much help, Good luck!

my contarct isnt up til march but i will not be carrying on with it, the customer service is terrible. the location next to the number is guernsey. dont even know anyone there. thanks anyway

It happened to me and my partner 3 refunded the money, like yourself they said its on your bill so you must have rung it. Again like youself we dont know anybody in Guensey, i traced the number and was a cable and wireless phone based in Guernsey. Its only happened once to me and twice to my partner, but i'm checking the bill when they come in.

3 say they have done investigations and the number was definately called from my number, but i know it wasnt, how did you go about tracing it? thanks
