How do I end my questions so no other answers can be posted? I don't want to waste people's time. I know it can be done. Those last two sentences may be an oxymoron.

It is not possible to "close" a question to further posts.

You can cancel any further emails notifying you of new answers by clicking on the "Got an answer?" hyperlink next to your question. You could also post that you have received a satisfactory answer and that no more are necessary. Neither of these will stop further contributions to the thread if somebody wants to add to it.
What I occasionally do that often stops people for posting further answers to my questions is post an answer myself so incomprehensibly eloquent, so incredibly realistic, so mutually exclusive, so literally interpretive, politically correct, and ridiculously sincere that there is no additional answer conceivable that wouldn't pale in comparison to its magnificent simplicity making anyone that would consider doing so look and feel like a complete oxymoron . . . not that that has ever stopped me!
and what exactly does an oxymoron feel like?
Stupidly intelligent? ;))
is one of your aliases buildersmate
you could post an answer stating that you have found the answer, so it comes up as the last post
Could you post a link to your question so we can check it out!!
you know, just to make sure you have the wright answers etc
rohash, You had to ask . . .

An oxymoron looks like this

Can you spot the oxymoron in this picture?

As for what one feels like in hindsight simply too painful to envisage.

Sadly ironic that the 'leader of the free world' by virtue of his attempt to capitalise on terrorism through terrorising his own people with his so call 'war on terror' should be such a joke.

Meanwhile, while evidently failing to provide the final answer to NiceCupOfTea's question, I'm beginning to understand the reason for asking.
mibn, in fairness, I would imagine the intelligence centre is named after George Bush Snr, who used to be the head of the CIA and is, compared with some in his family, a bright guy
Ms. Ed. If you would be so kind please replace the first link above with this one

Be right back, someones banging on my door Alright, alright! No need to bust the door down! Im coming already . . .

How annoying - it didn't work! I've actually got a message on the top right of this screen saying that 'This question has now been 'closed'. You will not be sent any further responses to it.' Ah well.

Incidentally, I was sent e-mail notifications of the last two posts (including doh!) so that didn't work either.
