in the film about the Munich massacre, about the group of people who go killing off members of the black september, theres a part where they go and kill a female assassin...

what on earth are those weapons they use? they didnt look like pistols, but they were silenced. ive never seen anything like them before in a film. im curious how they work. are they home made? is it just a pipe, with a small mechanism, and a small bullet?
