Most people use deodorant daily without thinking. Recent studies however have shown that it can pose potential health risks. A link was found between aluminium - commonly found in anti-perspirants and breast cancer. What do you think? Will you look for a deodorant that does not contain this ingredient? Or do you think this is just another study that will fade into oblivion?

anyother silly study, how did they know it causes breast cancer? because all women that got breast cancer used deodrant?
This one's been going for years. I also think if we listened to each and every study on the news we wouldn't do anything.
lol 4get!!

I have noticed that dove deodorant absolutely stops me sweating at all. I could use it once and have bone dry armpits until I scrub under them with a brush. As lovely as that is, it doesnt seem quite right.
Does this include roll ons too?

If so, do we now have to go round with stinky pits?
You know what I think causes it, toilet paper. Study that.
I have noticed since this study was first published a few years ago the price of deodorants that don`t contain aluminium have doubled in some shops, rip off merchants playing on womens fears...AGAIN!
Aluminium is toxic.

There was also a link with dementia....

What about men and breast cancer? or is that the Lynx effect?
Dont believe every thing you hear. I have no idea whats in my deoderant...(dove) its prob really leathal...aggghhh I'm dying.
Perhaps this would be better in Science?

I'd rather like to see what the science lot make of a study like this.

Are you saying we're plebs in 'ere CD?

Aye, perhaps you're right ;-)
Oh God yes!

Why else would I feel so in my comfort zone?! ;0)
I dunno about the use deodorant without thinking bit.

Are you implying AB Asks - that when they (are) thinking that a little spray might stop them smelling and therefore a more pleasant person to be around, that they should really be thinking pssssst, oh deary me theres another dose of cancer-causing chemicals Ive just given meself?

If I thought about every process, meal, event, phone call, drink, monet I walked along a road, opened my window, looked at the TV that might cause me cancer, then I would probably end up being a stay-at-home automaton that you are inferring. Although through this inaction I would probably be a societal burden due to clinical obesity.
That was mean to to be 'moment I walked....' but then who knows what Monet used, probably some cancerous paints and canvas knowing our luck.
I think this was just the Daily Mail looking to find some column inches...

Even the author says....

..I'm very much aware there is no clear proof anti-perspirants or deodorants cause cancer...
