Right, I had a drunken conversation a few years ago, about which was more volitile, milk or uranium. It seems that I won the arguement and that that milk is more volatile. Why is this?

The petrol its self is non flammable, but it is highly volatile and petrol vapour is highly flammable. Milk is no more volatile than water and uranium is a solid, so thats not very volatile either!
The volatility of something refers to its ability to evaporate and turn to gas. The more volatile-the easier it is to evaporate. I think milk can easily evaporate(so its volatile), but I'd imagine uranium, because its a heavy metal and so has tightly packed atoms, would need A LOT of heat to become volatile.
