loss of internet connection

I am forever losing my sky internet connection, it happens several times and day and it is a complete pain to get it back again - sometimes have to ring sky and they are useless Reading some other threads there are suggestions that it may be because my BT line won't support the speed that I am buying from sky. I don't know what to do about this but I had exactly the same problem with orange and it started happening just as I asked for an upgrade in download speed. Is there anything I can do when I lose the connection - the computer keeps telling me that it cannot see a wireless network even though everything is connected and entered just as it should be. I am sick of ringing sky, having to be told to do the same thing about 10 times, taking ages and then having the line cut off without resolution of the problem. I have joined the sky users and sent them an e-mail about this but they have not responded. Is there a broadbant server out there that is any good - can't get cable unfortunately which I know is more reliable

try going with tiscali. i've never had any problems with them
