Sticky labels
13 Answers
Hello . can anyone suggest a way of peeling off the very stuck down price and code number labels that refuse to come off in one piece ? I have been pickling one off a present and it 's left an unsightly sticky layer on the box.

Like you one day I bought a new purse and the sticky label refused to come off. You can use baby oil or what I can get here in a chemist Boots have it is Liquid Paraffin Oil - it is about 99pence. I could not believe my eyes, sticky label just melted away.
When you use other products they take the colour away. Good luck. Mind you that was handy for the leather purse - I dont know about boxes that might stain.

Give this a try:

It worked for me. Just work it in to the sticky label in a circular motion - leave for five minutes then dry off with a dry clean cloth.
If it does go wrong - sorry. Worth a try.
Maybe even hide the mess with a big bow if it's a gift box.
