I've just logged onto answerbank after a short break my question is how do you get avatars and pics on the screen ty in advance bob57

Took me ages bob - but try this: Save the pic you want to use in "my documents", for example, and give it a name (bob57). On your profile page, click browse. Choose "my documents" folder and click the name of the photo you want to send. Then click submit.
I THINK that's how I did it!!!

You can't do it from the original AB. You need to login to the beta version.
