Car Stereo Power Problem
I wanted to replace the grundig car200 stereo from my Vauxhall Corsa 1997.
Bought a Kenwood stereo with aerial adapter and iso harness adapter
unplugged battery
removed old stereo
fitted aerial adapter and iso adapter and plugged in the kenwood stereo
connected battery, and tested the radio which worked fine.
The car wasn't used for about a month and now for some reason the stereo does not work. It seems to be getting some power as i can hear the motor for the cd player.
I have checked the fuse in the stereo, the fuses in the car.
Used a mulitmeter to check the power in the harness. There is 12v power coming from the red (ignition) and from the orange (lights on) but not from yellow (battery)
plugging in the old stereo which works.
Any ideas about what else I can try?
