Celebrity fitness DVDs
11 Answers
As we enter the new year after consuming too many mince pies and turkey sandwiches some of us look to fitness DVDs or in particular celebrity fitness DVDs. The thought of ending up with a body as firm as a WAGs or as lean as Nell McAndrew can be hard for us to resist. However, reviews of certain fitness DVDs leave a lot to be desired, some reviews have even suggested that they aren't particularly safe or are just useless. What do you think? Would you buy a celebrity fitness DVD or would you go to an exercise class or join a gym to get results?

I do think it is good to see the corry girl and 'sonia' and how they have changed by getting fit but not enough to make me want to buy - they just seem more normal than some of the skinny celebs who have prob never carried any extra weight in their lives!
If it makes people get off their backsides and pop off to the shops to browse/buy, then at least they might benefit from that little bit of exercise.
If someone needs inspiration from their favourite celeb, or really believes they can have a body like "(insert name)" then that is up to them to deal with their issues and have something to aim for/blame when they achieve zilch results or an injury. I would not buy one. If I wanted a body like Brad Pitt or Johnny Vegas, I would just adjust my regime accordingly, otherwise I prefer to have a body like mine, although its nice to get my hands on Mrs O's body on the odd occasion too.

Hate to admit it but I quite like The Allstar Workout DVD that raised money for breast cancer charities. I go to the gym and go fell walking every week but this DVD is a great addition - loadsa different sections with the likes of Kate Winslett, Melinda Messenger etc. It's not a hard core killer but has some really great sections to pick and choose from and is really up to date. And it's quite funny to laugh at the thicko Hollyoaks girls who have no coordination and start huffing and puffing two seconds in. Whahey - I'm fitter than those skinny minnies!
