The best temperature for your house?
7 Answers
My husband and I are constantly fighting about the heating in the house. I do feel colder than he does especially as he is from up North and me down South but he says that the heating is too high and I always feel cold.
What is the optimum temperature for your house and the healthiest too?

I feel the cold far more than my husband does but in the interests of economy, I wear extra layers of clothing or really thick fleeces indoors and find that if I'm moving around a lot, 19 degrees is OK. and the air doesn't feel so dry which can irritate coughs at this time of year. Our house is well insulated, so the central heating is always switched off at night as neither of us likes a hot bedroom. It's probably far healthier to wear extra layers of clothing than to switch up the thermostat, unless you have very young children or an elderly immobile person in the house.
