Help with Messenger Emoticons Please.
5 Answers
I've recently upgraded my PC and I want to transfer all my MSN emoticons from my old PC, onto my new PC.
I've tried doing a search on my old PC to see where they might be stored - but I can't find them anywhere.
Does anyone know how/where I can find where my MSN emoticons might be stored?? I had LOADS on my old PC and now I've got zilch :(
I've got a memory stick so I was hoping to copy them from old PC ---> memory stick ---> new PC.
Any ideas anyone please ???

Just for the record, in case anyone else encounters this problem, I was struggling to find where the emoticons were stored 'cos I wasn't looking in hidden files and folders.
They are located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\"email address"\ObjectStore\CustomEmoticons
I just copied that file onto my memory stick then dropped it into the appropiate place on my new PC. It didn't work straight away - I needed to log out and back into MSN and hey presto, I've got all my emoticons back .
Ahhh the sweet smell of success .
