Bearing in mind the amount of 'fluff' produced when you dry clothes in a tumble dryer - how long would it take before the clothes being dried totally disappeared?

That explains why my oldest clothes keep wearing out. Also why the old towels are not as fluffy as lovely new ones.

The same happens when you hang them on the line outside, but you are just not made aware of it.

In the case of socks, they disappear quite quickly, but oddly enough, never both at the same time
