Turpentine Smells

I cannot get rid of the smell of turps from clothes after a spillage, even after one long cycle wash in the washing m/c, any help would be gratefully received.

turps is immmissible with water. try adding a lot of soap, ie. rub pure washing up lipquid into the area then rinse. You may need to repeat this a couple of times. The soap will help the turps mix with the water.
