Are there any domestic wood burners that would work on a wall piercing flue rather than a full chimney?

If you are talking about running a stainless steel flue through the wall and up the outside of the building then just about all of them should work.

No, I mean a balanced type flue that gas boilers or domestice gas heaters have. i.e. Not a full flue or chimney.

Ah, not tried that but i suspect you wouldn't get enough 'draw' and would be prone to smoke blowing back into the room whenever you opened the doors. Would probably make a mess of your wall outside as well. I wouldn't risk it - I don't fancy carbon monoxide poisoning. Try someone like the solid fuel advisory service - they should tell you without trying to sell you a flue like the stove shops do.
