can you count this before you pass your test? eg if you have been insured on your car for 2 years before passing your test could you claim an extra 2 years no claims?
No I don't think you can. I've been driving for 4 years, insured for 5 but the insurance companies will only let me have 4 years no claims. Don't ask my why, I'm oblivious!
Not to my knowledge, I've never looked into it, just accepted it. It doesn't seem fair though because I haven't had an accident and I have been on the road for 5 years.
You can hardly claim to have 5 years proper driving experience if you were driving on a provisional licence. Or at least it probably wouldn't be wise to do so! ;o)
On the policy applications for a provisional driver, you can protect your no claims. So how can you protect something that people say doesn't exist? This tells me it does!
