Hi my grandaughter 15 yrs has the above camera it suddenly stopped working she tried new memory card ,batteries but still not working ...said she had problem closing memory card door ...any ideas ...thaks twinny

I had a problem with my camera (not a Canon) but might still be worth trying. I had been using ordinary AA batteries in it and it stopped working, tried new batteries still didn't work so I took it to Jessops to see if it could be repaired, I told the assistant that I had tried new batteries, but she took them out and put in their Lithium batteries and the camera worked and has done ever since, not saying this will make your camera work but worth a try. I bought the lithium batteries from Boots when they were on special offer.
