Sony Handycam query! Pulling my hair out here!!!
2 Answers
I have a Sony Handycam DCR-SR33 and love it! HOWEVER.... I have installed the Picture Motion Browser that came along with it, followed everything to the dot, and am having the following problem in importing photos and videos from the camera...
Every time I try to import media files I get a pop up box saying... "No handycam (hard disk drive) is connected. The process will begin when Handycam (hard disk drive) is connected. If a handycam is not recognised after connection, confirm that the Picture Motion Browser Media Check Tool is running by making sure its icon appears in the Windows Taskbar notification area. Note: Recognition of the Handycam begins automatically when its connected."
1. The handycam IS connected, but it says on the screen of the handycam itself "connecting... Do not unplug the usb cable. Do not turn off the power". When I plug the handycam in, the computer appears to recognise it as it makes a "bing bong" noise to say it has had something plugged in!
2. The Picture Motion Broswer Media Check Tool is definitely running; the icon appears in the Windows Taskbar, and can be clicked on.
I am beside myself! I have uninstalled the software twice, and reinstalled it. And have also tried to install it on another pc, and it does the same thing...
Not just that, but to top it all off, it HAS worked before! However a week ago, we completed a factory reset on the pc for an unrelated problem!!!
Can anyone help!??!
