Wireless
5 Answers
I was using SKY broadband. When I had it connected they sent me 2 wireless boxes instead of 1. I used one and kept the other in its box in the cupboard, just incase they realised their mistake and asked for it back. What I want to know is, my other half is on Virgin broadband but does not have a wireless connection. Could he use the other wireless box I had, or because SKY sent it out, will it be programmed to be used with SKY broadband? Many thanks. Daffi x

If it is a cable broadband it won't work.

If you are non-cable then it probably still wont work as most Sky wireless routers are hard-coded with connection details to the Sky broadband service. I had this issue when I moved to Sky but wanted to keep using my Netgear DG834 router as it looks and feels better than the supplied Sky one but Sky would not provide the connection details only the log in to the router.
