beeping smoke alarm

my smoke alarm started to occasionally beep last week so i hoovered it out and this seemed to work but now its doing it again, is this because the battery needs changing, i cant find the instructions for it anywhere, thanx

yes, put new batteries in. It will continue to do it until you do. Dont wait, get some in today. :-)

glad i am not the only one up this morning hope i get a lie in tomorrow, many thanx all will put new battery in now
audi if its mains powered with battery back up check that there is power going to smoke alarm or check that fuse or mcb is ok

no its just a battery one i thought i had a spare but havent so its a trip to the shop for a couple
