Evening Job Suggestions

I have an 8 month old son and do not wish to put him into a nursery, therefore I cannot return to my full time job as a Legal Secretary. Can anybody suggest a job that I can do in the evening. Any evening typist jobs that I have found tend to start at 5 - 6 pm and my husband does not get home until 6.30 pm to look after my son. I have a computer and internet access at home but there are so many scams out there I am not sure who to trust when it comes to working from home. If I do work from home it can only be in the evenings.

When I was in a similar position to you....many moons ago....I took a job as a clerk/typist in what was called a Traffic Office of a company that delivered parcels overnight. I worked from 6pm-9pm and it was ideal....I learnt a great deal more geography during my time there too! I had to type up the worksheets for the drivers, making sure that goods were on the correct lorries for delivery.

If you live near a university you could advertise your service to anyone who wants a thesis typing up.

It sounds like you would be perfect as a virtual assistant. YOu work from home- so you could work during the day too, and its basically the usual P.A work. Typing up notes, proofing letters etc. There are several companies who will employ you and hire your services out to people who need occassional P.A, or you can work for yourself and advertise.
