i am buying a laptop and want to know how i get it set up to use the internet. i have a pc which is internet able with virgin media broadband. what do i need to buy to connect my laptop to the internet.

Why not ask your question in the computer/internet catogary, you will get instant good answers there.
If you already have a PC connected to broadband then you need to buy a ROUTER to split the single broadband connection into multiple connections.

As you want to use a laptop then it is best to go wireless and buy a WIRELESS ROUTER.

Note that if you are virgin CABLE customer you need one type of router (Cable router), if you have Virgin down a normal phone line you need a different type of router (ADSL router).

If you are a CABLE customer then PC world have this Linksys routers for �29.99 at the moment. In fact I bought one today. I think Currys are also doing it.
