Planning a trip to london

Me and my friend are 16 and are planning a weekend trip to London in early August. We hope to go to the Underage Festival in Victoria Park and visit all the famous sites.

Does anybody know any cheap accomodation or hostels that we could both stay at that are known to host people our age?

Is Victoria Park easy to get to from Central London and is there a safe route for us to take back?

The Russell Hotel (it is room only, like a bed and breakfast) shared bathroom but its a very clean place. The paintwork is a little exotic and it is Run by an Italian man who is very very sweet. They allow you to leave your stuff in their fridge, use their microwave. They dont include breakfast. I am staying there soon with a my little girl and honestly, it is very very safe. The wner lives on the premises. when you get there you might think OH MY LORD! But honestly you will like it once inside, its basic, but niceish furniture, comfy beds, hot water, central heating and the Owner cant do enough for you.

Twin room �40.00. i.e. �20.00 per person per night.

They do not generally take bookings but if you want to email me on [email protected]. I will give you a name of a person to speak to and I will give you my name to say that I recommended you. That way they will accept your booking and you will then need to send a postal order for your first nights accomodation.

By the Way, it is RIGHT OVER THE ROAD from Victoria Train Station.

My boyfriend and I found it quite by chance when in London last year and have stayed there several times since.

Sebanova, if you google youth hostels in London you'll get heaps of results. Also, if you have a look through Expedia, the will list a load of hotels and B&B's and you can sort it from lowest price for you, they usually have a little bit where it says what's close by so you'll know where about in London it is exactly.

The Regets Palace hotel in Picadilly is very reasonable, some friends of mine stayed there a few years ago, its bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast is like airline pre packed on a tray served from a serving hatch near the room, the rooms are basic but theirs was very clean and i think it had bars and comunial lounges, its very big so probably wont be very quiet but i dont imagine at 16 that would bother you much lol, its situated just off Picadilly circus so very central and about a 15-20 min walk from victoria
