Hi - second time of posting, hoping for a non "ask Ford" answer! I have an N reg (1996) Ford Escort Ghia (Orion shape). The radio is the standard one fitted - a model 2006R - Part no. F58F-19B132-BA, Serial no. M053895. If anyone can supply the radio code I'd be very grateful! Thanks.
Never used these folk before but think this must be the cheapest around. I did once have the software re ford radios and just spent last 30 mins trying find, sorry no joy.
You could try http://www.decodemyradio.co.uk/ ; though I'm curious to know why going to Ford's should be a problem. After all, putting a small obstacle in the way of getting the code is basic security.
rccatnap - you can be as curious as you like! I know it's a security measure, but Ford told me to speak to a local garage mechanic - he told me to speak to Ford. I've gone round in circles! It's only an old cassette/radio in an old car - I just want to hear some music. I'm getting fed up with the sound of my own voice singing to myself!
